Tents Erected Outside Texas Border Patrol Stations to Hold Overflow Migrants

The record-breaking waves of migrants flowing into Texas forced U.S. Border Patrol agents to build tents outside of their stations for temporary housing. Some migrants were also housed in parking lots. These new measures came after a recently built tent facility nearby already reached its maximum capacity.

U.S. Border Patrol agents in McAllen, Texas are currently holding an average of 8,000 migrants. The average number of apprehensions per day is approximately between 1,000 to 1,500 migrants in the Rio Grande Valley Sector.
